OrboTech will be part of the Church of Sweden's roadmap for the climate
The Church of Sweden aims to be climate neutral by 2030. As part of the work to reduce its own climate impact, they are now entering into a framework agreement with OrboTech and their chemical-free cleaning alternative UltraH2O.
The climate crisis is the great challenge of our time and we all need to help reduce global warming. The Church of Sweden aims to be climate neutral by 2030 and has therefore created something they call a roadmap for the climate. Recently, the focus has been on finding sustainable and chemical-free cleaning alternatives, and after procurement, they have now chosen to enter into a framework agreement with OrboTech and their ultra-pure water UltraH2O.
“We have seen that many municipalities use ultra-clean water and after thorough tests and investigations, we came to the conclusion that it was the right way forward for us as well. OrboTech were the only ones who could present a 100% ultra-pure water. ” says Catarina Lönnerholm, Strategic buyer of Swedish Church.
UltraH2O is extracted from ordinary tap water that has been filtered and deionized. The cleaning method is produced on site, which also reduces emissions from transport and reduces the use of plastic, something that goes hand in hand with the Church of Sweden other work for the climate.
The framework agreement extends for up to 5 years and the hope is that as many of the church's congregations as possible will have switched to chemical-free cleaning within the next few years.
"To get ability to help the Church of Sweden reach its climate goals felt incredibly fun and glorious. This shows once again that it is only together that we make a difference. ” says Mats Johansson, CEO of OrboTech.
