OrboTech steps up robotics efforts and recruits from elite sports
OrboTech Group continues its focus on autonomous cleaning and is now establishing a robot support based at the group's headquarters in Sundsvall. The function is the first in the region and will strengthen customer benefit, operational reliability and implementation in line with the increased interest in cleaning robots in the market.
Interest in autonomous cleaning continues to grow in both the public and private sectors, and cleaning robots have become a natural part of businesses' strategic decisions. To meet the growing need for implementation and support, OrboTech Group is now establishing a dedicated robot support at its headquarters in Sundsvall. Pontus Engblom, former football player and team captain of GIF Sundsvall, is being recruited for the position.
"The market is developing rapidly and the need for qualified robot support is increasing at the same rate. With an establishment in Sundsvall, we will be even closer to our customers and can support them more effectively, both before implementation and in daily operations. The new robot support will function as a regional hub in southern Norrland with a focus on implementation, training, operational optimization and customer support. At the same time, it will provide internal support to the local sales and service department. The function is one of several robot supporters within OrboTech Group, but the first in Sundsvall, which provides strengthened capacity and increased availability for customers in the region. For Pontus Engblom, the role marks a new chapter after many years as an active player in elite football.
